LOS ANGELES – SmartComment is providing digital public engagement for a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) proposal to widen Interstate 25 between Denver and Colorado Springs — a project the agency says is critical to its plans to improve safety and traffic congestion along one of Colorado’s busiest arteries.
Among other improvements, the proposal could widen to six lanes a 20-mile stretch of I-25 between Colorado Springs and the Douglas County-El Paso County line. The agency hopes to begin construction on that segment in the summer of 2019, but will first be hearing feedback from the public on a number of alternatives being considered as part of the project’s planning process.

SmartComment is working with CDOT staff and its environmental consultants at CH2M to accept and analyze public engagement feedback regarding the plan.
